Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Technical Support
WaveLink supports the UAS Technical Management Division (TMD) and across the UAS product offices with technical expertise in datalinks, payloads, propulsion, cyber, software, and science & technology (S&T) efforts. We support UAS platform modernization including Gray Eagle Extended Range (GE-ER), Future Tactical UAS (FTUAS) Increment 1 and Increment 2, Command, Control and Effects (C2E). We support Scalable Control Interface (SCI) and Air Launched Effects (ALE) efforts. Our knowledge of assured position, navigation, and timing (APNT) enhancements have been critical for the RQ-7B Shadow Block 3 efforts. We provide cybersecurity reviews, testing, and Approval to Operate (ATO) for multiple UAS platforms. Our S&T efforts include support to the Soldier UAS (SUAS) Glass-to-Glass (G2G) lab to measure / evaluate EO/IR payload performance metrics; multi-domain operations (MDO) Sensors & Systems RFI, and Air-Launched Effects (ALE) Other Transaction Authority (OTA) efforts. Our support to the Endurance UAS (EUAS) Product Office includes engineering oversight to Gray Eagle Extended Range (GE-ER) EO/IR, SAR, EW, and SIGINT payloads; Universal Armament Interface (UAI) integration of advanced weapon/munitions; and Avionics software optimized for multi-core Operating Systems.
Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) Payloads
WaveLink is an ISR Payload Engineering company, managing ISR systems through development, qualification, integration, and flight test to deliver mission-essential capability to the Warfighter on time and within budget. WaveLink SMEs in threat systems and AI/ML provide oversight of detection, acquisition, and pattern recognition algorithms to continually advance system capabilities. WaveLink SMEs provide project engineering leadership for UAS weapons and payloads integration and test, including Small Glide Munition, Tactical SIGNINT Payload (TSP), STARLite Obsolescence Technology Refresh, Electro Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) and alternate payload capabilities for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and EW Payloads.
Aircraft Mission Equipment Integration
WaveLink provides integration support for communications (datalinks, IDM, Air Soldier, tactical radios), navigation (H-764, APNT), avionics and software/human factors (flight computers, MFDs), survivability (AAR-57A, APR-39D), and weapons (IML, Hellfire, JAGM) across the full complement of rotary and fixed wing (manned/unmanned) Army Aviation platforms.
Airworthiness Qualification Testing
WaveLink is experienced in the full spectrum of AR 70-62 airworthiness qualification testing and airworthiness release process to provide a comprehensive Aviation engineering solution. WaveLink provides Validation &Verification (V&V) of Aviation mission systems through system/software qualification testing compliant with DO-178, subsystem qualification (hardware and software) to MIL-STD-810 and other certification standards, and system integration, design verification, and aircraft interoperability utilizing HWIL testbeds. WaveLink applied our AI/ML expertise in threat detection, acquisition, pattern recognition, and pointing/tracking algorithms to perform V&V test prior to fielding of four major threat warning capability upgrades and the first directed infrared countermeasure (IRCM) to U.S. Army aircraft.
